Meet Lisa Hawxby, owner, founder, and DogMistress. From the start, there’s never been a part of the DogMaster business that Lisa isn’t a part of; from production to promotion, distillery to tasting room, Lisa is always working on something special.
A cocktail expert and lifestyle enthusiast, Lisa creates both content and products as the DogMistress. Her line of home and body products, DogMistress Essentials, can be purchased at the tasting room. Using her eye for design and fashion, Lisa couples distillery castoffs with unique finds to create little luxuries that enhance everyday life.
Lisa’s handcrafted products often incorporate DogMaster gin botanicals, retired aging barrels, and other distillery castoffs. The DogMistress line includes candles, sugar scrubs, bar soap, and whiskey ring wreaths. Offerings change with what castoffs are available and what Lisa is currently interested in, so stop by the distillery often to see what’s available.
In addition to her involvement in Columbia’s business and leadership community, Lisa is a member of the Spirited Women Club of Columbia, an organization that helps bring more women into the spirit industry.
When Lisa isn’t at the distillery, she is often enjoying her own creations at her home bar. Her favorite cocktail is a dirty vodka martini, a perfect drink after a long day of life as the DogMistress.
